My sister-in-law is from Taiwan, but lives in The Usa. She lately became pregnant, and I know her well enough to be certain that she'd appreciate a conventional Chinese acknowledgment of some sort. While I can find plenty of Chinese customs about child gift suggestions for children, I can't find anything about mom except how she should behave throughout the pregnancy. What, if such a thing, will be a good gift on her prior to the child comes into the world?
