Is Antibiotics helpful in Viral URTIs ?

Parents always want antibiotics in common cold. Does it really help?

Antibiotics are not useful in viral URTI as antibiotics don't act on viruses.
However, Azithromycin , macrolide has some anti-inflammatory activity which can be helpful some how.
