Pregabalin and Gabapentin both are GABA analogues.
- The potency of Pregabalin is higher than that of Gabapentin. It produces effect at lesser dosage and hence the resultant adverse effects are lesser common.
- The kinetics of Pregabalin is 1st order while that of Gabapentin is zero order. The pharmacokinetics of Pregabalin is more predictable than that of Gabapentin.
